Scrap Shotz February Kit Project Reveal

Dusting off the ol' blog and sharing my projects from the February 2016 Scrap Shotz Monthly Kit featuring Life In Color by Simple Stories.

I'll start the show and tell with this layout based on a Pagemaps sketch:

This next layout showcases a new product included in this kit, Nuvo glitter drops:

I created a custom border of glitter drops and 'highlighted' one of sticker elements by 'framing' it with glitter drops.

Here is my first Project Life layout of the year, yes I started with February, will get to January eventually ;) :

The kit includes a few papers with 3x4, 4x6, 4x4, etc. printed elements. These work great in pocket scrapbooking and also for cards. These next 2 cards use a 4x4 cut out on one and a 3x4 cut out on the other.

Another easy way to make a card is by using a chipboard piece that already has a 'sentiment' printed on it. This card came together quickly:

The flower was fussy cut from a scrap of patterned paper, accented with Glossy Accents and then framed with a chipboard frame.

The kit also includes a package of sticker sheets and they have a number of great stickers such as the small flags on the left side of this layout which I also accented with enamel dots from the kit.

I decided to go back to a paper planner especially after seeing all the great planner products available so why not use some kit products?

Here's my March monthly spread:

I added strips of paper from the kit across the top and embellished it with Nuvo Glitter Drops. I've added stickers from the sticker sheets and some chipboard pieces.

I again used stickers from the sticker sheet and also glitter drops on this weekly spread along with paper strips. It's easy to use up scraps on a planner spread.

Now we come to the final layout, I think this one is my favourite. I love the mix of patterns!

That's it for my February kit projects. Head to the Scrap Shotz gallery to see what my talented Creative Team member Lorraine has done with this kit.

The Scrap Shotz March kit and add-ons are up, it features the beautiful Felicity collection by Pinkfresh Studios.

Scrap Shotz March 2014 Kit Projects Reveal

Well the most consistent thing about my blogging has been it's IN-consistency ;)). Not for a lack of projects to post though and I'd like to share with you my projects created for the Scrap Shotz March 2015 kit featuring Simple Stories 'I AM'.

I Am

There are some fun gold elements in this kit like the gold photo sticker on this photo. You get photo stickers in gold, black and white in the kit. I created a pocket behind the photo to hold the 'I Am' journal card.

Here and Now

I cut apart the words from the 4x6 card and popped up 3 of them for visual interest. I'm not super thrilled with the stenciled borders, I like that Tim Holtz stencil but I completely missed the mard on the color.

Grad Card

Super easy card to make, just trimmed the 3x4 card from the kit, rounded the corners, adhered to the embossed background and added the sentiment with kit alphas.

Thank You Card

Another easy card, placed a kit sticker on a 3x4 card and added a couple of kit chipboard hearts.

Birthday Cards

There are a bunch of 4x6 and 3x4 cards that only have to be cut from the 12x12 sheets making it super simple to create these cards.

Loved
I created this with one piece of patterned paper only which was so easy since one side of this paper had a pre-printed top and bottom border along with the word block on the right side of this page. The bird is fussy cut from it's printed position on this paper and then popped it up in the same spot.

The coral flower was orginally blue, I changed the color with Mr. Huey's Mist in Sunset and Boss Lady.

Us
This layout features the photo stickers in black. I used them as elements of this grid design and added some sparkle to the wood veneer with Bo Bunny Gold Glitter paste.

Sweetheart
I used my craft knife to slice along the left side of the heart and then slid the photo underneath. Some kit chipboard, stickers and the large flower finish it off.

I Am Loving Life
My favorite part of this layout is the cascading banners on the bottom left and the title is another 3x4 card from the kit. This was based on our design team sketch.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and see my projects, I really appreciate it!

**Scrap Shotz June Kit Reveal**

Yes it is July so I have to apologize for being so slow at getting this up and for the quality of the photos...of course it was a cloudy day when I photo'd these projects.

There may be some June kits left featuring Simple Stories "Good Day Sunshine", I'm not totally certain about that but click this Scrap Shotz link if you're interested in it and check out the June 1 New Products, some new items just went up a few days ago!

Here we go with my Scrap Shotz June kit projects!

This layout was based on our CT sketch. Love being able to get so many photos on it as well as use a bunch of chipboard I might struggle to use in other circumstances :)

These next 6x8 pages are comprised of kit products and a 6x8 Simple Stories album. I plan to document our family's July 2014 in the album and with the kit products.

The base of this layout was misted a long time ago and the kit paint medium was the perfect complement to the misted colour.

This cloud paper is super easy to use, a lovely base for pretty much any photo!

The kit colour medium is a beautiful color, Maya Gold "Petrol". I stamped a background for this card with a wine cork and end of a paper piercer.

This next card was super easy as it is made from a 3x4 cut out from the SS paper, a few enamel dots and Elizabeth Crafts peel off "Happy Birthday" sentiment.

This is a fabulous kit, packed full of products and I have soooo much left to work with and use in my July project!

December Daily-Twenty

Wow, just 5 days until Christmas Day! I go to the 25th only for my December Daily so I will be finished soon.
Today is about the last day of school for the kids and a Christmas hamper.

All caught up for now!

December Daily-Nineteen

Another day without a photo, no time to take one at the turkey lunch at Peyton's school today. I am adding a thank you card from one of her classmates to my book.

I had to add the Wednesday sticker(from my project life kit) when I noticed that the December calendar sticker is from last year so the date is on the wrong day for this year.

Thanks for stopping by :)

December Daily-Eighteen

Today was about a trip to Jack's school to see the multi-discipline project he and his classmates have been working on.
It's always nice to see what he's been up to at school and meet some of his friends.

Added some washi tape and an SC wood veneer accent, simple and done quickly!

Thanks for looking!

December Daily-Seventeen

Working on getting caught up on December Daily. There are always a few days where I don't get photos taken, just too busy and this was one of those days.

I've listed some of my to-do's today.

That fun tag is American Crafts from last Christmas time.

Day 15

Day 16

I've used a mix of items from my stash, the Studio Calico DD kit and a piece of the Starbucks bag the blueberry scone was in.

Thanks for looking!

December Daily-Thirteen

Today is about my daughter's band concert. These are not the best photos, I forgot my camera and has to use the iPad to take pictures. My daughter is shall we say "vertically challenged" so I had to take a photo of just the top her head showing when she switched positions to play different instruments.

This is my favorite page so far. I used Pink Paislee Artisan Elements frames to highlight my daughter in the photos. The embellies are a mix of the Studio Calico December Daily kit and Authentique die cuts.

Thanks for looking!

December Daily-Twelve

At least one of use ends up sick during the month of December. Hopefully it will only be one person this year. We are determined to do our best to keep our family healthy for the holidays.

Day Twelve is about our sickie ;)

I've used some items from the Studio Calico DD kit, Teresa Collins washi tape and AC patterned paper-the red striped paper which is also glittered.

Thanks for looking!
