Sending Hugs

I created a background with Altenew Crisp Dye inks and my gel press and then applied the inks with the Watercolor Bouquet Stencil on the slimline sized card front which works perfectly with this tall stencil.

Never Stop Smiling

My first papercrafting love is scrapbooking and I love incorporating my Altenew products on scrapbook layouts.

The BAF-Bellaroma Hybrid Tearose is the perfect size for scrapbook layouts, I've stamped the flowers in six different Altenew color families and die cut with the coordinating dies.

Some black splatters with the Jet Black Watercolor Brush Marker add texture as well as patterned paper from the 6x6 Blushing Blooms Paper Pack.

Wedding Wishes

One my favourite ways to use Altenew Crisp Dye inks is to watercolour with them so I stamped the large image from the Fresh Cut Roses stamp set in Obisidian Ink and heat embossed with Crystal Clear Embossing powder on A2 watercolor paper.

I then smooshed dye inks on a watercolor palette, misted with water, picked up with a watercolor brush and colored the image. I also colored the backgroung and then added shading with grey crisp dye ink.

Once the image was dry I added dots with a white gel pen for added visual interest and heat embossed the sentiment on vellum with Obsidian ink and clear embossing powder.

Thinking Of You

2021 saw Altenew release a number of new products and one of those is slimline products! The Slim Deco Cover Die Set was the first foray into this genre.

The set has a larger frame die and a smaller die that can be used on an A2 size card or a mini slim sized card. I embossed a white A2 card front with the Organic Linen 3D embossing folder then adhered 3 of the small Deco Slim frames cut from black card stock, trimming the edges to fit.

The Tall Foliage Stamp and Die set is an excellent complement to this cover die set and I stamped it on black card stock and heat embossed it with Platinum Crisp Embossing Powder.

After die cutting the embossed foliage with the coordinating die, I layered them over the frames and finished the card off with the matted heat embossed sentiment over silver thread.

Winter Wishes

This is one of my favourite card designs using the Fine Frames Diamond Die Set and before I purchased this set I used the diamond die from the Geo Frames Die Set.

I've watercolored an Altenew A2 Watercolor panel with the Emerald ink from the Winter Watercolor Brush Marker set, keeping the color dark at the top and lightening it up towards the bottom.

Once the panel was dry I embossed it with the Geo Diamonds 3D Embossing folder, then die cut the large triangle from the Fine Frames Diamond Die set. The embossed panel is trimmed and then placed over a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Gold Mirror card stock.

The die cut diamond is offset and popped up with foam adhesive. The bloom from the Dry Brush Poinsettia stamp set is stamped with Altenew Crisp Dye ink with the final layer stamped with Clear Embossing Ink and then heat embossed with Platinum Embossing Powder.

I hope you've enjoyed this look at some of my favourite projects from 2021. I'd love to see yours so use #AltenewBest2021 on social media to share your projects.
