Scrap Shotz Creative Team Blog Hop!

Hello Friends!

If you have arrived from Lorraine Melin's blog you are in the right place. It was so much fun creating a project inspired by the fabulous new logo.

I was super inspired by the watercolour in the logo and this paper from the September Pinkfresh Studio kit was a great starting point.

I cut a portion from the B side of this Chit Chat paper (blue/green watercolour) and centred it over with card stock.

I mixed Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Green Parade and Blue Blitz and swiped over the white card stock.

I splattered the card stock with Nuvo Shimmer watercolor in Blue Blitz and the Blue Gold watercolor from the Starry Night Gansai Tambi set.

I then watercolored various blooms that I fussy cut from this sheet of paper:

I added gold watercolor to some of the blooms as well.

I layered the blooms over each other, adhering some with foam tape to add dimension.

I tucked in some gold foiled acetate die cuts that are also included in the September Scrap Shotz kit.

I used one of the add on die cuts to create the layout title and finished off the layout with a wood button and some gold enamel dots.

Stuck!? Sketches December 15th

Christmas is less than a week away and I am madly trying to squeeze in time to complete scrapbooking last years Christmas photos. That's where a sketch comes in super handy so I used the December 15th Stuck?! sketch:

Here is my layout:

I LOVED the stitched tree shape and embroidered it with gold thread.

Papers and sticker edges were inked with Black Soot Distress Ink. Nuvo Crystal drops were applied randomly around the photos๐Ÿ˜Š.

I used the Scrap Shotz December 2017 kit for this layout and added Nuvo Crystal drops randomly around the photos.

Being honest, I won't get all the 2016 Christmas photos scrapped but I am off to a good start!

Thanks for stopping by๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

|Scrap Shotz October Kit Bonus Project|

Hello!

The Scrap Shotz DT has been unveiling our kit club projects over the past weeks. We are on part 2 of the reveal, you can all my previous projects on the Scrap Shotz blog HERE and HERE

I found one last layout that I forgot to include in my previous Scrap Shotz posts so I'm sharing it here ๐Ÿ˜.

There are so many lovely patterns in this kit and I wanted to showcase them here so I punched circles which were then cut in half and arranged in diagonal rows.

I layered 3 photos taken of the backyard at the same time to help showcase how lush this garden is.

You can see the shine the Studio Katia clear crystals add to the layout, kit stickers also embellish the page.

I used one of of the post its as the journaling block.

Make sure you stop by the Scrap Shotz blog to see all the projects created by the team๐Ÿ˜Š.

Thanks for stopping by!

Double the Fun in London!!

I enjoyed a once in a lifetime vacation with my family (we are a family of 6 so that's what makes it "once in a lifetime :) ) in the U.K. last summer, here is a layout I crafted to remember the event:

London Tour

We took a Big Bus Tour of London which also included a float down the Thames. It was so amazing to see places we've read about in history and/or seen in movies.
I had some extra die cuts I had cut with the Tim Holtz Cityscape Skyline die from another project along with die cuts from the Tim Holtz Bigz L Die Tiny Houses.

Here is a close up look at my "skyline". The die cuts and stickers are from the Scrap Shotz March kit

and the right hand side of the two page, spread. The neutral colours showcase the blues in the photos.

Thanks for taking in my latest project. There is a Design Team ongoing at Scrap Shotz RIGHT NOW!

You can find all the details HERE.

This is all I'm going to show you right now, you'll have to pop back in a few days to see the end result๐Ÿ˜›.

February 2017 Scrap Shotz Kit Projects

Hello!
My apologies for the lack of posting lately. I really have been creating but haven't made it here to post much.
Follow me on Instagram to keep up with what I've been up to and also bookmark and/or follow the Scrap Shotz blog as I design for them and post all the details of my monthly kit project creations there.
I wish I had more time to create but life happens and I just fit it in when I can. I am in awe of those who work full time outside the home, raise a family and devote time to their hobbies/passions.
Enough introspection!!

Here's a little taste of what I've been working on lately:
Curious? I hope so, keep checking in to the Scrap Shotz blog to see what this turned in to and to see the rest of my February kit projects๐Ÿ˜Š

Scrap Shotz October 2016 Kit Reveal...Extras!

Hello All!

I missed posting a couple of my kit projects over on the Scrap Shotz blog so I thought I would share them here. You can head over to the blog to see the first group of projects.

There were 2 patterned papers in this kit that screamed Christmas card to me and I also wanted to put my new MFT yeti stamps to use:

I shaded the beast with Copic markers and die cut using the matching dies. 2 strips of the kit washi tape and Nuvo Crystal drops in clear, gold and autumn red finish it off.

I made a number of cards using card sketches from Operation Write Home and the kit add on 6x6 paper pack. I made a grand total of 11 cards and barely put a dent in the paper pack.

This kit also includes a sheet of paper printed with 3"x4" cards and immediately this card would work perfectly for these ski photos.

Love these copper-y Thickers, just the perfect size for titles. I am sure you can tell I am in love with these Nuvo Crystal Drops as they make an appearance on yet another project of mine ;).

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at these but it's not over yet!
Head over to the Scrap Shotz blog for the last project...I promise no more for October, I have to get started on November projects shortly :).
As always, you can see what the entire DT has done with kit here in the Scrap Shotz gallery.

Scrapshotz September 2016 Kit Project Reveal

Hello!

It was busy for me getting these kit projects completed in between trips, I've been out of the country in August, September and October, this is DEFINITELY out of the ordinary around here.

September's kit featured the brand new Indigo Hills line by Pinkfresh Studio, a lovely line, super easy to design with. Here is the last layout I created with the kit, I actually still have one 12x12 sheet of paper left even after 5 layouts and 4 cards:

Beautiful {September} Magic, Amazing

This is such a great line of papers which easily make your photos the star of the layout. I used off cuts of patterned papers, placing them on kit white card stock. The photos were printed with the Polaroid Zero Ink printer. You can see all my Scrapshotz September kit projects over at the Scrapshotz blog so click the link and head on over!

Thanks for popping in :)

Scrap Shotz October 2015 Kit Reveal!!!

Hello!
This poor little blog has been sorely neglected...my apologies! I have been creating-honestly-just not posting here.
I enjoy sharing my creations and for those of you who 'follow' me I hope you enjoy viewing them and THANK YOU for doing so :).
I have to say it's fun being part of a design team and one of the advantages, other than being able to use fabulous new products, is somewhat keeping up with scrapbooking my photos.

The October Scrap Shotz kit is full of lovely fall colours courtesy of Echo Park 'The Story of Fall' and BoBunny 'Enchanted Harvest', here are my October Kit projects:

Yes this owl stamp was a kit item.
These flowers are the Altenew Whimsical Flowers stamps, stamped in Lawn Fawn Yeti (white) ink and colored in with copics. The chipboard sentiment is from the kit.

Thanks for taking the time to peruse these projects. Scrap Shotz offers more than fabulous monthly kits, you can always see the latest and greatest products offered in the store in the New Products by Date category. I think this kit may is sold out, contact Sandy directly here to inquire.
The November kit and add ons are up at the store here, just scroll down to see them :)

Once again, thank you for stopping in, I hope you've enjoyed these projects.

Scrap Shotz May Kit Projects Reveal

Hello Everyone!!

Sorry for taking so long to post my kit projects, I've been running behind so I appreciate your patience and understanding :) .

The May kit features the fun and colourful "Rise and Shine" line by Amy Tan. So many great patterns in this, it was lots of fun to create with it and here are my creations :)  :

Yes "smitten" is a Thicker word not individual alphas, makes it sooo much easier to use for a title!

This layout showcases the varied "embellishments" in the kit, chipboard, die cut plastic arrows, remarks alphas, clear stickers and nailhead.

This is my favorite layout of this month's kit, I used the MFT circle stitched dies to cut the circles and then backed them with the kit patterned paper, a few chipboard hearts and kit nailheads finisched this off!
This great kit patterned paper shows off these everyday photos, add a few pieces of kit chipboard and nailheads and a lovely and fast to finish layout is done!

This is our kit sketch layout for May and I pretty much kept exactly to the sketch as I loved it in its original form!! I cut those circles out of kit patterned paper.

The kit included a lovely foil patterned paper and I chose to fussy cut the envelopes from the paper and use them to create these notecards which are also stamped with the kit "hello" stamp.

This card was so easy to create using the kit alphas and stickers, the flower was accented with a kit nailhead...done in 5 minutes :) .

I am a huge fan of woodgrain paper so of course I was looking forward to using this!
The photo frame is a sticker frame which I placed on white cardstock and then cut around the corners to fit my photo within. The embellishments are stickers, chipboard, nailheads and patterned paper.

I love this patterned paper that has been embellished with the kit nailheads, I fussy cut portions of it for a layout you've seen earlier. The sentiment is an Elizabeth Crafts peel off words...I use them so much, they are a super go to, no fail card sentiment!

Thanks for stopping in to see my kit projects. You are more than welcome to come on over to the Scrap Shotz forum and chat or play along with our DT Challenges!!
