Sunset Backgrounds + Altenew Stamps

Hello,
I took some time this past weekend to practice ink blending with my Distress Oxide inks. I created these 4 sunset backgrounds.

These backgrounds are perfect for creating a silhouette stamped scene with solid image stamps. I used the bottom left and top right panels.

First, the panel from the bottom left:
This is inked with Distress Oxide inks in Carved Pumpkin, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire. I let it sit for a day or so to be absolutely sure it was dry before stamping the silhouettes.


This Altenew set Love You So Mush is a layering stamp set so I used only the bottom layer for this technique. I stamped them with Altenew Jet Black crisp dye ink which creates a chalkboard like black image when stamped over the Distress Oxide. You could use a black pigment ink and heat emboss with clear powder if you want a very crisp black image over the distress oxide. I think the Altenew Permanent ink would give a nice crisp black result.


This second card is inked with Distress Oxide inks in Scattered Straw, Abandoned Coral and Dusty Concord.
When I first inked these card panels I had this stamp set in mind to use, it's the Altenew Wildflower Garden stamp set. I have not made too many sympathy cards, I tend to struggle with creating them so this technique works very well for sympathy cards.
