Pagemaps held a sketch challenge a short time ago and while I did not enter it, I did create a layout based on the sketch cause I liked it so much!
I used all Echo Park for this. "For the Record" and a piece from "Metropolitan". The buttons are from my stash. I used Rock Candy Stickles to highlight the stripes on my flag and a pin from LYB. The border edge was punched using the new AC Knockouts punch which is a bit different from the Fiskars edge punch.
Sandy has a great selection of the AC Knockout punches at Scrap Shotz although there are still a few I haven't yet picked up :).

Project Life-Week 10 & 11
Week 10
Any week that includes creative team projects is a fun one!
Week 11
Using the divided page protectors makes it easy to add bits and pieces of packaging, printouts and receipts. Purchasing those was my smartest decision for this project!
I wasn't able to finish up last week before leaving on vacation so I'll try to have two weeks done for next week!

Project Life - Week 8 & Week 9
I have been working hard to catch up on PL. I must admit I am a wee bit unexcited with this so far however my competitive side kicks in to keep up with posting and the challenge of weekly documentation so I will carry on. On that note, here is week 8 and week 9:
I had the most fun with the Studio Calico alphabet stamps which I layered to create a shadowed effect on week 8.
This project is great for using bits and pieces and since all my leftover black alphas had used all the "e"s I used the negative portion of the sticker sheet for the "e" in Feb.
I'm going to work hard to finish this past week before we leave for our Spring Break vacay tomorrow morning!

Copic Card
I really do not use my Copic markers as much as I would like but when I do use them, I really enjoy the coloring process. I am by no means an expert. I struggle with determing where the light is hitting my image but that can be overcome with lots of practice ;).
This Scrap Shotz Card Crew Challenge got me using my Copics and coming up with this card:

I've had that stamp in my stash for a couple of years so it was fun to use it. I think I coloured 4 images and I liked how this one turned out the best :).

Scrap Shotz Project 12-February
The lovely Virginia at Scrap Shotz is hooking us up with some Valerie Salmon sketches for the Scrap Shotz version of Project 12.
Here is my February layout:
I've used Simple Stories "Documented" collection with a splash of Bo Bunny in the burgundy paper. I've stuck close to the sketch and in no time at all documented our February.

St Patrick's Day Challenge
The lovely Lorraine posted this challenge for St. Patrick's Day yesterday on the Scrap Shotz forum. I just finished up this card:
Lorraine will be sending out an RAK to a randomly selected participant in this challenge and having received an RAK from Lorraine in the past, I can guarantee it will be full of wonderful, useful scrappy items!

Scrap Shotz March Layout Tag
We finished a super fast layout tag in record time this past weekend! We are all just a teeny bit competitive :)
Here was my layout using the new Teresa Collins Everyday Moments line which I love! I think I'm going to pick up more of it.
You can see what both teams did here .

Scrap Shotz March CT Reveal Part Two
I am back with the second half of my March kit reveal projects for Scrap Shotz. This kit was packed full of brand new Little Yellow Bicycles' "Saturdays" line.
This was the last project I completed before the reveal and I think it's my favorite.
This is a mix of flowers from the LYB paper flower kit included in the March kit and blossoms cut with my Cricut.
I've had these photos around for almost a year and this sentiment on the LYB dimensional sticker was just what I needed to get these scrapped.
The journaling ticket is from the LYB Tear Out Ticket and Journaling Card book which is also included in the March kit.
Lastly is this card that would be great for any occasion.
The flower in the center is from the fabric sticker add on. The ticket looks like it's added to the card front but it is actually part of a piece of patterned paper.
I so enjoyed working with this kit and if you'd to see how the rest of the Creative Team used it, check out the gallery and leave us some love there while you're at it :)

Scrap Shotz March Creative Team Reveal Part One
We unveiled our Creative Team projects using the Scrap Shotz March kit which features the brand new Saturdays line by Little Yellow Bicycle.
Having spent most of the past 7 days horizontal due to a cold and infection, I wasn't sure how much I would be able to get done. This kit is so awesome that once I began working with it, the inspiration flowed easily!
Here are my projects for this month:
This layout was our sketch project and I was thrilled to get 10 photos on it!
Can you see my wee sprinkle of confetti? Yes I did glue each of those little pieces one by one. Love how it turned out! The woodbuttons Prima and are an add on to this months kit.
This next one uses that funky diamond shape that I have on the layout above. I cut it with my cricut, it's actually the inside piece of a circle, so I used the negative image as a guide for making the stitching guideline for this card.
I stitched the diamonds the navy burlap included in another add on with the Glimmer Glam I painted the cardstock with and Midnight Blue Stickles. The scallop border is punched using the new AC Knock Outs border punch and yes one is included in your kit! There are a bunch more designs you can find here.
This next layout was a fun one. I've noticed lots of projects with confetti on them and I wanted to incorporate it on this.
I have a cluster of confetti, regular hole punch size and the smaller size which was leftover from the banners and photo mat I used the punch on. I've used the dimensional stickers, stick pins, pearls which are all add ons and the paper flower kit which is included in the March kit along with this gorgeous die cut paper.
It's not hard to tell I really like this kit is it? I've got to tuck my kids in bed now so I will be back with part two of my reveal projects tomorrow. You can see what the entire Creative Team did in the Scrap Shotz Gallery.

Wonderfully, Ordinary, Average Day
I love scrapping the everyday. Nothing outstanding about the photos just the reason I started scrapbooking in the first place. Making a record of our lives that's fun to look at and reminds us of what our lives were like "way back when". It's turned into a creative outlet and passion for me and no I don't consider myself a "creative" person ;) . This stamp from Ali Edwards "Ordinary Days" was perfect for this layout.
I've used American Crafts Chap paper, a chipboard piece from LYB under the stamped title and some very old Black Orchid puffy stickers by SEI in addition to an EK Success border punch. Love when I can utilize something I've had in my stash for years :).
One of these days I've going to figure out how to photograph my layouts so they don't look wonky on the screen, I glued everything down straight, honest!!
