Scrap Shotz October 2015 Kit Reveal!!!

Hello!
This poor little blog has been sorely neglected...my apologies! I have been creating-honestly-just not posting here.
I enjoy sharing my creations and for those of you who 'follow' me I hope you enjoy viewing them and THANK YOU for doing so :).
I have to say it's fun being part of a design team and one of the advantages, other than being able to use fabulous new products, is somewhat keeping up with scrapbooking my photos.

The October Scrap Shotz kit is full of lovely fall colours courtesy of Echo Park 'The Story of Fall' and BoBunny 'Enchanted Harvest', here are my October Kit projects:

Yes this owl stamp was a kit item.
These flowers are the Altenew Whimsical Flowers stamps, stamped in Lawn Fawn Yeti (white) ink and colored in with copics. The chipboard sentiment is from the kit.

Thanks for taking the time to peruse these projects. Scrap Shotz offers more than fabulous monthly kits, you can always see the latest and greatest products offered in the store in the New Products by Date category. I think this kit may is sold out, contact Sandy directly here to inquire.
The November kit and add ons are up at the store here, just scroll down to see them :)

Once again, thank you for stopping in, I hope you've enjoyed these projects.

**Stuck On U Sketches March 27 Sketch Reveal**

Hello and thanks for joing me for the latest Stuck On U Sketches sketch reveal.
There is sooo much inspiration in this fabulous sketch by Leah Schaeffer!

{Patterned paper, die cut pages, overlay, brads, chipboard, stickers-Simple Stories "Good Day Sunshine"; paper clip Simple Stories "I Am"; ledger paper-unknown; grey print-Studio Calico Basics; card stock-Bazzill}

I loved the lined paper in the sketch and found this ledger pattern in my stash, I placed it on a piece of Bazzill dotted card stock. It was great to pull out a punch I haven't used in awhile, that's the EK Success notebook edge punch. The die cut page I used for the layout title is one of the SN@P die cut pages in the Good Day Sunshine collection along with the woodgrain pattern.
This 'holepunched' paper is also a die cut page from the same collection. You have a good look at the overlay I used with the hexagons layered over the woodgrain page.
I handcut a tag to hold my journaling and finished it off with a brad. The also punched the edge on the tag which creates a visual triangle with the other punched edges.

I hope you'll find some time to give this sketch a try and link it up at SOUS!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Scrap Shotz March 2014 Kit Projects Reveal

Well the most consistent thing about my blogging has been it's IN-consistency ;)). Not for a lack of projects to post though and I'd like to share with you my projects created for the Scrap Shotz March 2015 kit featuring Simple Stories 'I AM'.

I Am

There are some fun gold elements in this kit like the gold photo sticker on this photo. You get photo stickers in gold, black and white in the kit. I created a pocket behind the photo to hold the 'I Am' journal card.

Here and Now

I cut apart the words from the 4x6 card and popped up 3 of them for visual interest. I'm not super thrilled with the stenciled borders, I like that Tim Holtz stencil but I completely missed the mard on the color.

Grad Card

Super easy card to make, just trimmed the 3x4 card from the kit, rounded the corners, adhered to the embossed background and added the sentiment with kit alphas.

Thank You Card

Another easy card, placed a kit sticker on a 3x4 card and added a couple of kit chipboard hearts.

Birthday Cards

There are a bunch of 4x6 and 3x4 cards that only have to be cut from the 12x12 sheets making it super simple to create these cards.

Loved
I created this with one piece of patterned paper only which was so easy since one side of this paper had a pre-printed top and bottom border along with the word block on the right side of this page. The bird is fussy cut from it's printed position on this paper and then popped it up in the same spot.

The coral flower was orginally blue, I changed the color with Mr. Huey's Mist in Sunset and Boss Lady.

Us
This layout features the photo stickers in black. I used them as elements of this grid design and added some sparkle to the wood veneer with Bo Bunny Gold Glitter paste.

Sweetheart
I used my craft knife to slice along the left side of the heart and then slid the photo underneath. Some kit chipboard, stickers and the large flower finish it off.

I Am Loving Life
My favorite part of this layout is the cascading banners on the bottom left and the title is another 3x4 card from the kit. This was based on our design team sketch.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and see my projects, I really appreciate it!

Scrap Shotz January Kit Reveal

Hello and welcome to the Scrap Shotz January Kit reveal featuring the gorgeous Bo Bunny Altitude line!

This kit is packed full of product and while it has a wintery theme, it can be used for so much more!

My first layout is definitely wintery:

There is nothing "wintery" in this layout, yet the colours work well with the photo:

The pink-y tones in this paper worked well with these sunset photos.

For this layout I applied Teresa Collins modeling paste over a Tim Holtz stencil and then lightly misted after the paste dried. I placed three of the kit chipboard frames as a base for the photos and layered the photos on top. The layout was finished off with some hand cut banners and a sticker for the title.
My Tim Holtz rosette dies were put to use after a long hiatus ;). I used both the regular and mini sizes, accenting them with the bling add on and epoxy dots.

One of the Scrap Shotz card challenges used this sketch  by Viva la Verve, the following cards are based on it:

I've cut some of the film strip apart and used as accents on this layout.

This was a super easy card to the make as the base paper is printed with the diagonal pattern, just had to cut it down to the right size.

The kit colours work so well with the black and white photo, I was able to incorporate the playing cards on this layout featurning my family of six :).

Thanks for taking a look, you can check out the all the Design Team projects here.
