Scrap Shotz Creative Team Blog Hop!

Hello Friends!

If you have arrived from Lorraine Melin's blog you are in the right place. It was so much fun creating a project inspired by the fabulous new logo.

I was super inspired by the watercolour in the logo and this paper from the September Pinkfresh Studio kit was a great starting point.

I cut a portion from the B side of this Chit Chat paper (blue/green watercolour) and centred it over with card stock.

I mixed Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Green Parade and Blue Blitz and swiped over the white card stock.

I splattered the card stock with Nuvo Shimmer watercolor in Blue Blitz and the Blue Gold watercolor from the Starry Night Gansai Tambi set.

I then watercolored various blooms that I fussy cut from this sheet of paper:

I added gold watercolor to some of the blooms as well.

I layered the blooms over each other, adhering some with foam tape to add dimension.

I tucked in some gold foiled acetate die cuts that are also included in the September Scrap Shotz kit.

I used one of the add on die cuts to create the layout title and finished off the layout with a wood button and some gold enamel dots.

Colour Your Day!

Hello!

I've had a busy last few weeks with back to back scrapbooking/papercrafting events. If you haven't checked out the Scrap Shotz blog, a local online store, click HERE to take a look; I design for the store and help out at the local events so you can see some of the other projects I created for them :).

I have another project to share as I work towards my Altenew Level 2 Educator Certification. This card was inspired by Lesson 1 of the Colour Your Day class

I picked up this Altenew Build A Flower Hibiscus stamp & die set from Scrap Shotz at the recent Scrapbooks and Cards Today event in Calgary. This set is GORGEOUS with 5 stamp layers in the flower!   I pulled out all my blue Altenew Inks and it was pretty cool to see how some were warm blues and others cool blues. These inks are the Glacier Caves Oval set and as the stamp set has 5 layers I double stamped the lightest shade, Arctic Frost for the 2nd layer to have 5 ink colours to use with the stamp layers.

The background was inked with the Altenew Art Deco stencil and Arctic Frost & Persian Blue inks.

The stems were stamped with Altenew Sunkissed and Firebrick ink.

Leaves were stamped with the Altenew Tropical Forest collection and all the images were die cut with the coordinating die.

Lastly, a sentiment from the Wild Hibiscus stamp set was stamped in Altenew Sapphire ink, the card panel matted on Altenew Cherry wood paper and then embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Sea Glass gems.

I will gift this card to my mom for Mother's Day, I think she'll love it!

Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

Trim the Tree

Hello Friends!

I've got a number of Creative Team projects up on the Scrap Shotz blog so click here to take a look.

I saved one to share with you here:

The tree is inked with Distress Ink in Bundled Sage and Peeled Paint, then die cut with the Concord and 9th Trim the Tree die. The patterned paper is also die cut with the same tree die and adhered to a white card stock card base.

The Distress Ink-ed tree is further die cut with the Fa La La die also from the Trim the Tree set, setting aside the inner pieces from the letters.

Inlay the tree within the negative space of the patterned paper and then inlay the die cut words along with the green pieces from the tree.

Lastly, die cut the bows from gold and red glitter paper and adhere to the top of the tree.

Thanks for stopping by!

Many Thanks

Hello Friends!

A little bit ago I shared this Distress Crayon & Ink background with you and a promise to show you the completed card.
As promised, here is the card:

The purple/violet background was die cut with an Elizabeth Craft Designs rectangle die, then layered over a Wild Whisper Designs World's Best line paper from the June Scrap Shotz kit.

The tulips are stamped with Versamark ink & the Altenew Tulip stamp set on kraft card stock, then coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Crayons.

The tulips were then fussy cut, layered over each other with foam tape and accented with glossy accents. I tied twine from a Scrap Shotz kit around the flowers to create a bouquet.
Lastly, the sentiment is cut with a My Favourite Things die, popped up with foam tape and then glazed with glossy accents.

Thanks for stopping by😊
