Altenew Thanks and Blessings Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello Friends!

Thanks for joining me from Sandhya Iyer's blog, it's my pleasure to be a part of the Altenew September release. The blog hop starts at the Altenew Card Blog with the lovely Lydia.

This is a massive release with all sorts of amazing new products, you can view them all HERE.

Projects

I LOVE Christmas products and was thrilled to play with the new Dry Brush Poinsettia Layering stamp and die.

After creating an ombre wash with Emerald Watercolor Brushmarker on Watercolor Paper Pad, I die cut the diamond with the Geo Frame die, then embossed with the Geo Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. Bloom is stamped in Frosty Pink and Ruby Red ink with the final layer stamped in Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Platinum Embossing Powder.

The thin diamond frame is cut from Gold Mirror cardstock with the Fine Frames Diamond Die.

I've used the off cuts from the previous card and then layered a poinsettia stamped with Blush and Crimson ink and also heat embossed with Platinum Embossing powder.

The leaf "borders" are stamped with Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Rose Gold Embossing powder and are from the Greatest Blessings stamp set, sentiment is from the same set.

The Greatest Blessings Stamp set has a bunch of great sentiments!

The main image is stamped with Clear Embossing Ink, heat embossed with Rose Gold Embossing Powder and die cut with the coordinating die.

I've then glued it to the center of a white cardstock panel die cut with the Nesting Slim Rectangles die and adhered to a slimline card base after heat embossing the sentiments above and below the rectangle.

It's been a quite a long time since I added to my art journal and this release was a great opportunity to do so!

After embossing a watercolor paper circle with the Blossoming Branches 3D Embossing Folder, I colored it with the Watercolor Essential Set, then outlined the edge with the Altenew Fine Liner .01 pen

To create the woodgrain look I dragged the Permanent Black Crisp Ink cube down white card stock.

With the new Mixed Media Palette Knives, I combined Embossing Paste and Ruby Red spray ink and applied to the inked cardstock.
I then pressed a piece of cardstock embossed with the Geo Diamonds 3D embossing folder into the paste.

I "extended" the branches with leaves stamped and die cut with the Greatest Blessings stamp and die and then colored with the same watercolor ink.

I inked the page base with Caribbean Sky Crisp Dye Ink applying the ink directly from the ink pad to the paper, then layered all the elements over top.

Circle, and stamped images are adhered with Instant Dimension Foam Tape and outlined with the .01 and .02 Fine Liner Pens.

Are you a fan of builder stencils? If you answered yes then you have to pick up the Block Builder Stencil Set!

You can easily change the look of your project by rotating and/or flipping the stencils when inking to create unique patterns. I've used the Northern Shore Crisp Dye Ink family to ink the background and stamp the bloom. I've then mixed Embossing Paste and Desert Night watercolor ink from the watercolor brush marker and spread through the Leaf Burst Stencil with the Mixed Media Palette knife.

I used Clear Embossing Ink and Platinum Embossing Powder on the detail layer of the poinsettia and for the sentiment. Both are adhered to the card front with Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

For my final project I wanted to create a holiday card with non-traditional holiday colors so I created an ombre "watercolor" dye ink background with the Nature's Wonders ink set and stamped the poinsettia with the Martian Terrain ink set.

I also applied Iridescent Spray Ink through the Warp Speed Stencil for a hint of shine, matted the panel on black cardstock then the colored cardstock prior to adhering to an A2 card base. A few Antique Gold Sequins finish it off!

I really like the traditional with a twist color pairing on the first card. Instead of the basic evergreen you used a dark mint color. It looks great!

So many creative cards! I really like the first 2 with that lovely green, textured background. And then there is that cool layered card with the flower/embossed and colored image die cut in a circle. What a wonderful way to focus on that lovely image.
