Altenew January Inspiration Challenge

Hello!

I am playing along with the Altenew January Inspiration Challenge:

I am in love with this colour combination and was also inspired by this card by Norine Borys.

I painted 4 pieces of watercolour paper with a combination of Altenew watercolour markers and Altenew pan watercolours. These watercolour pens are fabulous, the colours are so vibrant and opaque. They mix wonderfully with the watercolour pans so you can get just the shade you want.

This piece is a mix of watercolour marker inks in Dusk and Emerald.

This piece is a mix of Altenew watercolour pan ink in Orange Cream and Altenew watercolour marker in Autumn Blaze.

I mixed Crimson from the watercolour pan set and rubellite from the watercolour marker set to create the red paper.

Let's take a look at my card and then I will describe how I created it.

{supplies: Altenew Create a Wreath dies; Hello sentiment Pinstripe stamp set; Altenew 36 pan watercolour set; Altenew Watercolour Markers}

After I painted the watercolour papers as described earlier, I die cut them using the Altenew Create a Wreath die set. I retained the inner pieces of leafy die cuts to fill in some pieces after I determined the placement.
The die includes both a circle and oval "wreath" shape and I die cut the circle wreath out of white card stock to help determine my foliage placement.

Here is a closer look at the die cuts along with the gold Studio Katia sequins I added. It's hard to see but I also added A Wink of Stella clear glitter marker over all the die cuts.

Here is another look at the full card:

Now that I am a certified Altenew Educator I am brainstorming class ideas and maybe this could be one!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
