Altenew Seasonal Textures Stand-alone Embossing Folder Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

I hope you're enjoying the blog hop, you should have arrived from the lovely Joylita Dsouza's blog, if you get lost anywhere along the hop, head back to the Altenew blog for the complete hop details :)

Visit the Altenew shop HERE to see a look at all the products in this fabulous release!

I LOVE creating holiday cards and as soon as I saw this Classic Pinecones Slim 3D Embossing Folder I knew I wanted to create an all white card.

Here's a close up of the layers which have been heat embossed with Translucent Pearl Embossing Powder to add a bit of shine and sparkle.

Another look at the full slimline card:

Supplies:
- Nesting Slim Rectangles Dies
- Modern Deer Stamp Set
- Sand Dune and Espresso Crisp Dye Ink
- Clear Embossing Ink
- Translucent Pearl Embossing Powder
- Gold Mirror Cardstock

Isn't this folder fantastic? It's the Organic Stones 3D Embossing Folder and this is probably one of the quickest and easiest cards I've ever made. Simply apply Seashore Washi Tape on the diagonal to a 4" x 5 1/4" white card stock panel and then emboss with folder. Finish the card off with a die cut sentiment cut from Gold Mirror Cardstock and layered over the shadow die cut in black cardstock.

Supplies:
- Organic Stones 3D Embossing Folder
- Seashore Washi Tape
- Craft Your Life Project Kit: Seasonal Blooms-thanks die
- Gold Mirror Cardstock

I was super excited when I saw this folder, the Festive Foliage 3D Embossing Folder as I love, love, love the Festive Foliage stamp set. The folder is larger than the image but you can see that you can still emboss the image with the folder to add some lovely texture.

Supplies:
- Festive Foliage 3D Embossing Folder
- Festive Foliage Stamp Set
- Rouge and Crimson Crisp Dye Ink
- Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink
- Antique Gold Sequins

Here's another quick and easy way to use an embossing folder...lightly mist patterned paper with water, to help prevent cracking, then run through embossing machine with folder.

Treat the paper with an anti-static powder tool, then rub the embossed areas with clear embossing ink and heat emboss with embossing powder.

This green and gold are perfect together!

Supplies:
- Festive Foliage 3D Embossing Folder
- Festive Foliage Stamp set (sentiment)
- Acrylic Pour 6x6 Paper Pad
- Clear Embossing Ink
- Rose Gold Embossing Powder
- Gold Mirror Cardstock

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps August Krafty Peeks...Day Four! Squirrel Friends!

Today is our fourth day of Krafty Peeks for the August Release

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we are sharing a fabulous set from
artist
Becky Pearce and it's called.....

SQUIRREL FRIENDS!

These sweet squirrels are so perfect for all your Fall projects and they will warm your heart with their thankful sentiments!

I cut the card front and openings with the Photoplay #6 Build A Window Say It With Stamps die set.

The background is inked with a cloud stencil from my stash but this Krafty Scenery Stencil is perfect for achieving the same result.

I added leaves with the Falling Leaves Stencil and Picket Fence Succulent Green Paper Glaze and the panel is then layered over a card base that is inked with Kraftin' Kimmie Cool Cantaloupe Hybrid Ink.

Two of the squirrels are adhered with dimensional foam adhesive and the sentiment on a banner die cut from the same Photoplay die set.

Check out SQUIRREL FRIENDS! in so many amazing creations today as you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs!  You'll also see the new stencils and hybrid ink along the way!  Be sure to leave some love at each stop on the hop because there will be a giveaway of some krafty $$ to the shop!

You'll see more of our August goodies tomorrow and then everything will be released after our LIVE Online Release Party on Saturday afternoon at 2pm ET in the Krafty Friends facebook group!

For now, check out all the creative goodness in today's hop!

See you tomorrow!

Pigment Craft Co.: Celebration Bouquet

I finally found some time to play with the Pigment Craft Co. Celebration Bouquet and Celebration Bouquet fillers stamps.

I stamped and die cut the images with the two sets named above, super easy to use! I then adhered them to a background I created with Distress Oxide inks, my Gel Press and the Altenew Tropical Jungle stamp set.

The sentiment from the Dashing Sentiments stamp and cut with the coordinating die after being stamped and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Lastly, I added some Studio Katia Gold Foil to the flower centres and around the images.

I stamped a few of these blooms with different ink colours and decided to create a background with two of the die cut blooms.

I popped up the die cut blooms with foam adhesive and then layered the Split Sentiments Congratulations die on top. "So happy for you" is stamped and cut with the coordinating from the Celebration Bouquet stamp set.

I added some Studio Katia Clear Drops to the flower centres and the card base. I love how this turned out and I'll be making more of these as this came together easily.

Thanks for stopping in and taking a look!

Altenew Educators Supporting Educators

Hello!

Thank you for joining the Altenew Educators as they share their support for all educators.

I'm sharing some details on the cards I created for this Instagram hop. If you'd like to be eligible for the prizes, please visit my Instagram @rosieneust for all the details and to leave a comment there, yes you can comment from your computer if you haven't already :).

This post contains affiliate links, shopping through these are at no extra cost to you and helps support this blog to offer inspiration to you :). I appreciate and thank you for your support!

I've had the Teacher's Rule stamp and die set in my stash for a long time but haven't used it in quite awhile so this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

While looking at it, I was thinking the simple image would work well with a "pop art" style and here's an example of what that is :)

and here are my cards:

I pulled out some bright coloured card stock fro my stash and then chose the following Altenew Crisp Dye Inks to stamp the apples, from left to right:

- Sweet Leaf, Hunter Green
- Heartbeat, Vineyard Berry
-Eastern Sky, Azurite
-Pinkalicious, Razzleberry
-Sunkissed, Autumn Blaze

I die cut 5 squares with one of the dies from the Halftone Squares Die Set and then embossed with the following 3D embossing folders:

I edged the sides of the embossed squares and the die cut apples with the brush marker from the Fineliner Pen Set.

This was an easy design to duplicate, I stamped the sentiment in the same place on each colour of card stock with my stamp positioning tool.

I adhered the apples with dimensional (foam) adhesive.

These cards came together very quickly once I had worked out the initial design. I've always appreciated my kids teachers but after online schooling my 13 year old I have an overwhelming appreciation for all that teachers do :).
Thanks for stopping in!

Altenew Ultimate Watercolor Lovers Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello All! Welcome here for the:

If you've arrived from the lovely Virginia's blog you're in the right place!

So excited to join this talented group of creatives for this blog hop, we're celebrating the newest additions to the Altenew family the Watercolor Coloring Book and TWO sets of Artists' Watercolor Brushes!

I love the look of watercoloring but as I am still learning the process I need a BUNCH of practice and this coloring book is just perfect for that! Half the images in the book are printed in a light gray ink so great to practice no-line watercoloring as well.

I watercolored both of these images with Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers using the 'wet on wet' technique for one and 'wet on dry' for the other.

Coloring the exact same image helps to understand how the ink moves and which technique feels most comfortable.

The bottom two images were colored with the 36 pan set and I definitely need a LOT more practice with this set. Ordinarily I'd never let these see the light of day but we learn from the "mistakes" too.

That being said, I've got a quick little video showing you how made use of these panels I wasn't happy with:

The size of these coloring sheets are perfect for a card front and after coloring this image, I covered the blooms with a piece of paper and splattered a little Jet Black ink with the watercolor brush marker, mounted on a black card base and added the Bold Thanks die cut along with a couple of clear drops from my stash.

Special Offer

To celebrate the release of the watercoloring book, Altenew is running a free gift promotion for a limited time.
