Altenew 8th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 5 + Giveaway (over $2,000 in Total Prizes)

Happy to share with you a couple of projects I created to celebrate Altenew's 8th Anniversary!

I've created a floral cluster with the Rose Mellow Layering Stencil adding dot details with the Hawaiian Shores Brush and Fine Tip pens, then fussy cutting and layering over a watercolored background that I've also added foil to with the Tiny Patterns Hot Foil plate.

I die cut the sentiment with the Essential Sentiment Strips die from Gold Mirror card stock.

I had lots of fun making this card! 

I used the Flowing Hearts stencil, creating a card background by first tracing the stencil with C002 Soft Lilac Artist Markers and then coloring in with Lavender Fields, Deep Iris and Midnight Violet Artist Markers. 

I then outlined the hearts with WG03 and colored in the background with WG01.

Sentiment is die cut from black card stock with the Framed Thanks Die.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps April Krafty Peeks...Day Four! Panda-monium! Plus A Challenge!

 

  Today is our final day of Krafty Peeks for the April Release 

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

PANDA-MONIUM!

These delightful panda friends are sure to make anyone smile with their cute antics and adorable accessories!

I inked a card front with the brand new Luscious Lemon ink and the Tiny Triangles stencil. I also used Bold Berry and Tranquil Teal Hybrid inks.

The pandas are coloured with Copic markers, one using the W-warm gray's and the pair with C-cool grays.

A bit of rickrack from the add-on bundle and a white heat embossed sentiment on black card stock complete this card.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps April Krafty Peeks...Day Three! Cheeky Chipmunks!

    Today is our third day of Krafty Peeks for the April Release

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we are 'peeking' a super sweet set 

from artist Sabrina van Vloten

 and it's called.....

CHEEKY CHIPMUNKS!

These adorably cute chipmunks and all their amazing accessories will have you creating for days on end!! 

I stamped the basket of strawberries multiple times to create a custom patterned background and coloured with Copic markers.

The main image is also coloured with Copic markers and then adhered with dimensional foam tape in the centre. 

Sentiment is stamped on vellum in Kraftin' Kimmie Wicked Black Hybrid Ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.

Altenew Craft-A-Flower: African Daisy Blog Hop and Giveaway

 Hello and welcome here from the talented Michelle Short's blog!

The newest Craft-A-Flower: African Daisy is lovely and so, so easy to put together!

I watercolored 9x12 watercolor paper with the following Watercolor Brush Markers:

Midnight Violet, Purple Wine, Warm Sunshine and Citrus Burst and then die cut the 3 layers of petals once dry.

After die-cutting, I misted the layers lightly with water and then used a flower shaping tool to curl petals and "scrunched" some of the layers to add dimension to the blooms.

Instead of die-cutting stems for the blooms I layered them over a leftover scrap of fabric from the Dreamy Bouquet fabric release using the stems on the fabric as the African Daisy stems. Prior to adhering the blooms I ran the card panel-fabric glued to a piece of patterned paper from the Wildflower 6x6 paper pack-through my die cut machine with the Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die.

The sentiment is die cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glitter card stock with the Bold Thanks die.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps April Skrappy Challenge!

    Good morning krafty friends!

It's April, and that means it's time for a brand new
SKRAPPY CHALLENGE

with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

 The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card!
So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like!

I've used the April Stamp of the Month, A Spring Hello and created gift tags which I've stamped on coloured cardstock and then pencil coloured and die cut with the Altenew Holiday Tag Die Set.

I added Memory Box Spring Plaid die cuts to the tops of the tag and embellished with Kraftin' Kimmie Dots from my stash.

Just make sure to include some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products and make sure it's a new creation!  As soon as we have at least five people playing along, we'll be giving away a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop as the monthly prize!

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Belladonna Lily Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in total prizes)

In this stamp set, we have brought this exotic plant to paper through a delicately drawn outline image. The flowers have four coloring layers, and the stem has two coloring layers that will add depth and character to this beautiful flower. Altenew's layering stamp sets are fantastic for the details each layer adds and that you can choose to leave out layers to create a different look! 

I stamped all the layers for the pink/red blooms with Baby Pink, Coral Bliss, 

Rubellite, Grapevine Crisp Dye Inks and only 2 layers for the "white" blooms in Silver Lake and Grey Denim Crisp Dye Ink.

I then die cut the blooms with the coordinating die.

The vase is die cut with a die from the Mod Vases set and then hot foiled with a Tiny Patterns Hot Foil Plate.

I then arranged the flowers in the vase, gluing the white flowers directly to the watercolored background and adhering the pink flowers with Instant Dimension Foam Tape as well as the vase. The watercolored background is made with 9x12 watercolor paper and the 36 pan watercolor set which I've added dots via the Playful Patterns Stencil and Enchanted Gold Pigment ink.

The entire panel is mounted on black cardstock, then "This Story" paper from the Celebrate 12x12 paper collection and finally on a 5x7 card base.

Scalloped Frame 3D Embossing Folder

I embossed Gold Foil card stock with the folder and after adhering Sea Shore Washi tape to white card stock, I die cut it with the Circle Frame Hugs die and a circle die from my stash to create the thin circle frame. I finished it off with enamel dots from the Sea Shore Enamel Dots.

I inked the embossing folder with Buttercream Crisp Dye Ink and ran it through my die cut machine to transfer the ink to white card stock. I then used the negative pieces remaining from the previous card for the sentiment and added some yellow enamel dots.

Flower Bed 3D Embossing Folder

This card is super simple to make, I embossed patterned paper from the Wildflower 6x6 paper pack after heat embossing the sentiment in Obisdian ink and Crystal Clear embossing powder. Trimmed to 4"x 5 1/4" adhered to A2 card base and done!

These folders are great to use with any backgrounds you may have previously created but not yet used on a card. This background was created by picking up excess watercolor ink directly from a craft mat with watercolor paper.

I embossed the card front and then applied Enchanted Gold Pigment ink direct to paper by swiping the ink pad gently over the embossing. The sentiment is die cut from gold glitter paper from the Gilded Glitter card stock pack and the Fancy Hello die. 

The 6x6 size of these folders makes it very easy to use them on a scrapbook layout.

I inked 6x6 pieces of white card stock applying ink directly to the folder and then embossing the card stock, transferring the ink to the paper. I did this four times in the following ink colors:

Autumn Blaze, Ultramarine, Mango Smoothie and Rubellite

I then cut the pieces in half on a diagonal, placing a different color in each corner of the 12x12 base.

I layered the other half of the embossed pieces together to create a photo mat for the photo, matting the photo on black card stock and then adhering to the layout base with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I embellished with die cuts from the Branches and Berries die set.

Folktale Birds 3D Embossing Folder and Checkered Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder

This charming bird is the star of the Folktale Birds 3D Embossing Folder and I've added color with the Altenew 36 Pan Watercolor set on 9x12 Watercolor paper. After cutting the ovals with the Create a Wreate die set I inlay them within Cherry Wood embossed with the Checkered Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder and framed with Gold Foil cardstock.
