It's Been Awhile

I haven't had a chance to get here to post for some time. I'm going to work my hardest to change that ;)))

We've wrapped up baseball for the year now so there will be more evening time and as the kids settle in to the school routine, I will have a chance to settle myself in to a routine here at home too.
There are a couple of rooms that I want to reorganize along with my scrappy supplies. A trip to Ikea is in my future :).

The Scrap Shotz Creative Team revealed our October kit projects last week and here are my projects:

I used up all the patterned paper except for 1 piece :)

You can see what the entire creative team did here.

Thanks for taking a look!

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

I don't consider myself a cardmaker so tackling card making challenges are a great way for me to stretch myself creatively and build up a stash of handmade cards.
We are having a World Cardmaking Day Mini Crop at Scrap Shotz right here so pop in and play along!

Here's a card I made for a Scrap Shotz Design Team challenge to get in a card frame of mind ;))

Thanks for stopping by!

Scrap Shotz September Kit Reveal

Last week the Scrap Shotz Creative Team revealed our projects for the September Fall Reflections kit which has is full of fabulous products. I think my favorite project in this kit is the Copic multiliner as it's fantastic for journaling.

Here we go with this kit's projects:

Celebrate
I used this die to cut the title celebrate.
Family Game Night
A clean and simple layout using just a few circles.
Vegas Today...
The photo block is the kit 12x12 Jenni Bowlin placemat I've cut down to use as a frame for these photos. I've also used the Prima Crackle stencil with glimmer mist for the blue accent.
Hello Fall
These kit colours were perfect for the photo for my kids from last fall. I added a some misting using Perfect Pearls and a Studio Calico mask from my stash.
Fun Things We Did This Fall
This is my favorite lo created with this months kit. I used one of the journal cards cut from the pp as the title.
Friends
This kraft frame is one portion of the Jenni Bowlin placemat. The leaves are die cut with this die.
Thanks
Again I used a frame from the Jenni Bowlin placemat, it's perfect for a card!

Check out what the entire team created here . Thanks for stopping by!

Project Life>>Week 30 to 34

Getting close to being caught up :))

Week 30
The summer banner on the lower card is a Studio AE stamp which I've embossed.

Week 31
The photos on the left side are in a 6x12 page protector I added to hold all the photos for this week since this week fell on the right side of the layout.
Here is the layout with the 6x12 opened up.

Week 32
I had to add my little guy's artwork from Sunday school along with a tag from back school shopping with my oldest and the front of a thank you card. I pasted the inside of the card to the back of the bird artwork.

Week 33
I love that this project has "no rules", I didn't use any PL products on this week. The top "title" card is a portion of the bulletin from my church and the journal card is by Simple Stories SNAP.

Week 34
I've used Clementine PL cards here along with a piece of patterned paper from my stash and another SNAP journal card. The camera wood veneer is by Prima.

Layout Tag

We just wrapped up another edition of layout tag at Scrap Shotz and here's my contribution:

patterned paper Elle's Studio, cs Bazzil, banner & alphas OA, blooms Prima, mist Dylusions, butterfly & frame LYB, stars Studio Calico

I 've been having problems getting a good photo so it's really hard to read the title. It says "She's Raking In the Money". You can see what everyone created here .

Scrapbook Challenges Sketch 352

I worked with this sketch from scrapbookchallenges.com and created this layout of my little first year ball player:

I used my circle cutter to cut the rings and circles out. The number, banner, flags and word stickers are Fancy Pants Little Sport, the dot paper and woodgrain rings are Basic Grey Hey Boy.

I love how it turned out!
Thanks for looking :)

A Scrapbook Challenge...

The Creative Team at Scrap Shotz has posted our Summer Challenges , click on the link to see our challenges.

My challenge is to use a quote as the title or to journal your layout and you can find links back to quote websites here .

Here's the layout I created for this challenge:

The cardstock is good old reliable Bazzil; patterned paper is Teresa Collins Sports EditionII-yes I have hoarded this line and bought papers on clearance at my local scrapbook store, it has been my most favorite and used Sports papers-the manila colored paper is actually a 12x12 canvas paper in the line.
Die cuts are Creative Imaginations & Fancy Pants.

Would love to have many play along with our DT challenges, just click on the link above, prizes are available as well!!

Project Life>>Week 28 & 29

Getting close to being completely caught up on this project!

Week 28
I used this page protector style Design F for the first time on week 27, lots of space for 3x4's and as I had a few 4x6 items, I cut them down to span 2 pockets. Love how it turned out!

Week 29

As this week ended up falling on the right side of 2 pages, I added a 6x12 AC insert to hold the title card, more photos, journaling and a portion of the boys' tournament schedule and the map I used to navigate to Whitecourt.
Here is the week with the insert opened up:

I have the next few weeks printed out and I am so excited to use some of my brand spanking new PL products!!

Thanks for looking!

Project Life>>Catching Up

It's been quite awhile since my last post. I've been enjoying the summer with my family :)

We wrapped up the baseball season a couple of weeks ago with my boys' team winning the provincial championship for their division. One of the boy's attended a "Mobile App Developing" camp at SAIT last week and we just wrapped up a weekend sleepover at our home with a cousin.

So it's time to "catch up" on Project Life, sort of ;)) (I have a couple of weeks to finish and another couple of weeks to print to completely catch up).
