Here are some of my projects for the SSZ Feb CT Reveal:
I punched out squares of EP "Yours Truly" papers for the card front of this. Rounded the corners and added Jenni Bowlin brads to create this card.
"Love to Read" - used bazzil embossed and die cut cardstock on the left side; on top of EP pp. Added the Sew Stamper around the photo and a bit of bling here and there on the circles.
Used EP paper strips and a circle as the background on the verbage pp. Punch the misted cs to mat the black and white photo. The Sew Stamper provided the stitching on the pp strips.
The flowers on this 6x8 inch canvas are created with the Tim Holtz pinecone die. Two large blossoms are created with the Spellbinders floral die (i'm not sure if that is the exact name; email me to confirm.)

Project Life-Week 3
I put together a 2 pager for this week, using Design A of the PL page protectors.
Just realized I added my completed to-do list from the 23rd, a little out of order, oops ;). Have to fix that for next week.

Project Life 2012-Week One and Two
I finished these last week and just sat down to print out my photos for week 3 last night. Posting these on my blog helps motivate me to complete them which is why I do it. Plus I get to practice getting the best photos I can with my dslr. I've only done single page layouts for each week. I will end up with a mix of single and double pages depending on how many photos I took that week and how much I have to talk about ;)
Week One
Week Two
I'm using the Clementine core kit and anything hanging out in my stash, hopefully lots of stuff I haven't touched in a looooong time.

I completely forgot that tonight is the first time to see the February Scrapshotz kit and the add ons that are available exclusively to kit subscribers until February 21st. The add ons are fantastic, lots of bling; the Jenni Bowlin rhinestone brads are worth a kit subscription alone!
The last couple of Scrapshotz have sold out and I predict this one will as well as it has some FANTASTIC items like the WRMK Sew Stamper-hello...this is a great little tool! I love all things houndstooth and can't wait to get my hands on the houndstooth Thickers!
If you're not a kit subscriber, consider signing up, Scrapshotz kits are a great value for desirable products!
I'm really looking forward to working with this kit!

My Project Life Title Page
Welcome to my very first Project Life post.
I have jumped on the Project Life bandwagon! You can read about this project here.
I hope to keep up with this throughout 2012. I got myself the Clementine core kit, Design A page protectors and the 60 pages multipack of various designs.
I kicked it off with a title page and you can see a bunch of examples of title pages from the Project Life Creative Team. I'll be checking them out often to stay motivated to complete this project.
Patterned paper is Amy Tan for American Crafts and Making Memories Paper Reverie. Alphas are Thickers and My Minds Eye, flower is Sassafrass Lass and camera stamp is Studio Calico.
I will share week 1 and week 2 of my Project Life adventure in the next few days.
Thanks for looking ;)

Not Happy
First, let me clarify, "Not Happy" is the title of a recent layout I completed, not my mood ;)
Although I would be happier if I wasn't coming down with a cold and it wasn't minus 37 celsius outside!
I'm not making that up, it's really that cold here right now, in fact it is slightly warmer in Whitehorse, Yukon. Anyways, back to scrapbooking:
I used American Crafts "Chap" paper I picked up in the States on my vacation. The twine accents are something I saw in SCT done by Vicki Boutin. Glubers work perfectly for this, just start at the outside and continue circular until you reach the center. The rosette is made from the Tim Holtz large rosette die.
As happens in life, not everyday is happy, happy, happy and that's okay. Even when the little guy is having a bad day, we love him just the same.

A Scrapshotz Challenge
The Scrapshotz Creative Team posts challenges monthly here and everyone has a chance to win a Scrapshotz gift certificate. The more challenges you complete the better your odds are to win as these are "mystery challenges" so you don't know which challenge the winner will be drawn from.
I just finished Lorraine's challenge which is a sketch challenge and here is my layout:
The base is Basic Grey and all other patterned papers are Crate Paper in addition to the stickers. I've created the border with the Sew Stamper, alphas are Prima.
Click on the link above to see the complete challenge including sketch and Lorraine's lovely interpretation!

Sketchy Thursdays 1.5
This was one those times when everything came together quickly with a layout and I decided not to overthink it ;)
It's hard to see on the photo but that piece of silver cardstock has a lovely sheen to it. It has been sitting in my stash for 3 years now so it was nice finally put it to use. The brads were originally white but I sprayed them with Mr.Huey's Holly Berry to add a touch of colour and tie in the red in the Kaisercraft patterned paper. I've also used paper by LYB, Tim Holtz grungeboard shapes, and an Imaginisce fabric flower; the rub on is Lily Bee.
Thanks for looking!

Sketchy Thursdays 12.29
It's been awhile since I've played along at Sketchy Thursdays and I was looking forward to jumping back in to it! While this layout is by no means a masterpiece, it's done thanks to a great sketch!
I've used Aunthentique patterned paper, Bazzil cardstock along with a brad from My Minds Eye and flowers by Prima and Kaisercraft. These were all from a couple of different Scrapshotz monthly kits. The stamp is Studio Calico and the ribbon was an RAK from a friend :)

Scrapshotz January CT Kit Reveal
The New Year is off to a great start with our Scrapshotz January kit reveal! If you like this kit and want to get one in your hands click on the link above to shop as this is a sought after line!
This kit used the beautiful Bo Bunny glitter papers from the Snowfall line along with some cool LYB Winter Twig items. This was a big challenge for me as I had ZERO winter photos but, oddly enough, these colours worked great with my Arizona vacation photos. Here are my projects:
I also used the Sew Easy on this and no my stitching is not straight but hey no big deal ;) !
This snowflake mini album is included in this month's kit and it is really fun!! You have to visit the gallery to see all the great ways the Creative Team used this! I used mine to document my little guy's 3rd year of life. I put all my mini albums in a tray in the center of my coffee table and everyone, especially the kids, love looking at them :)
These papers are absolutely GORGEOUS and as you can see by my projects, you can use them even if you don't have snow/wintery weather!
On a side note, I completed my December Daily album today so I will start posting those pages tomorrow. It feels like such an accomplishment to have it finished!

Happy New Year!
We had a quiet but lovely New Years here. We've settled back into our home routine quickly after almost 3 weeks away. It didn't take me long to get my scraproom looking like a hurricane went through it!
First on my agenda was my Scrapshotz January kit reveal Creative Team projects. They are done and going up in the Scrapshotz gallery tonight so I'll be sharing them here in the next few days.
I am also just about finished December Daily 2011 and will be sharing those pages soon.
Thinking about tackling Project Life but haven't made a firm decision yet.
Off to get ready for out of town visitors tonight!
