**New**Project Life Challenge from Stuck On U Sketches!!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the latest SOUS Project Life challenge. This is another fun and easy challenge:

I had lots of quote cards to choose from in my stash but you can make your own as well!

Here is my PL layout:

{Project Life Seafoam Core Kit; Teresa Collins Albums Made Easy for WRMK}

Isn't the 4x6 card sweet? I just love the glittered word! It reads "It's A Wonderful Life".
I was light on photos for this week so I added a tag from an item of clothing I purchased in the far left pocket.

I hope you'll play with this week's challenge as it's a super easy one! Link us up to your project at SOUS and you'll be entered in a draw for this fabulous prize from our August sponsor

Thanks for stopping by!

Scrap Shotz March Creative Team Reveal

It's time to reveal my creative team projects for the March Scrap Shotz kit the fantastic Teresa Collins  line "Hello My Name Is". Click on the preceding link to see all the kit contents and you can see the add ons here. You will not be disappointed if you are a Teresa Collins like I am and if you're not familiar with her products or on the fence, I think you will fall in love with this line!

So, on to my projects this month :)

First up is this layout which was inspired by the kit "polaroids" paper itself. I busted out my handy dandy square punch and went through my overflowing stack of photos to find photos of all of us that were perfect for the square punch.
click on image to see it closer up
All supplies March Scrap Shotz kit & add-ons

I treated each frame as it's own separate space and placed either a photo, embellies, sticker, chipboard or stamped image within. I love how this turned out! I have a 12x12 frame in storage and I just may put this lo in it and hang it in my scraproom.

Next up is this layout  based on the sketch provided by the Scrap Shotz sketch diva Jess Duerksen,
All supplies March Scrap Shotz kit; sequin & ephemera add-ons
I don't scrap photos of myself much but this line screams out to see the "voice" behind the camera! I have lots of photos of my mom before she was married but very few of her with or just when I was growing up as a child. It's important for the kids to have memories of their mom (&dad) at all stages of their lives.

Now I have a special project I earmarked for this kit when I found out it was coming up. I found this frame at a local discount home store cheap ($10) as it had lost some of it's gems
so I thought it would make the perfect frame for our most recent family photo and replace the missing bling with a combination of rolled paper flowers, kit chipboard and add-on sequins & stickers. I added kit add-on wood elements to the kit chipboard & pp to complete the family photo home decor piece.
This was hard to photograph without getting the photographer in the reflection! Here's a close up!
Our CT showcase project was the Teresa Collins file folders included in the kit. I'm sure many people would use them for a mini-book but no 2 would look the same and that is how I used them as well. Here is my book of favorite photos from 2013:
The red ribbon was from a box of Crave cupcakes I purchased a few years ago. I layed the folders out after adhering the photos and punched two holes with my Crop-A-Dile (12x12 version) then threaded the ribbon through the holes to hold all the folders together and my mini-book was born!
Here are some of the inner pages:

These kit colours are great for any photo and I love how this lo of my dd turned out with them!
All supplies March SSZ kit; sticker, enamel dot & stamp add-on

I was so excited to play with my newest purchases the Taylored Expressions proud peacock cutting plate and Whispy Whishes stamp. Here is my card created with the March SSZ kit:

My final project was also my March DT Challenge, click here to see the challenge:
My hubby and I don't have too many photos taken together and we really need to do that more often.

This kit is so versatile and easy to use, go to the Scrap Shotz gallery here to see all the fabulous projects the Creative team produced!

I found a heart file in my Silhouette software and cut it out to use as a template for this heart. I laid the template on the cardstock and then filled in the stencil with Wink of Stella markers to create a watercolour look. All patterned papers are Echo Park Everday Eclectic, sequins are Teresa Collins, bow is made using the WRMK Envelope Punch Board, border punch is Martha Stewart. The patterned papers are edged with the Wink Of Stella brush markers.

Thanks for stopping in, feel free to leave any questions on the how to of this lo in your comments :) and now your next stop on the blog hop is Lisa Novogrodski Living In Color .

December Daily 2013 #Day3

Welcome to Day 3! One of my favourite things about this project is the opportunities it provides to share my personal memories, day-to-day living or hopes and wishes for the future :).

Now before anyone thinks day 3 is a well written masterpiece let me disabuse you of that ;)).
There may be some of that later but not today. Day 3 touches on food, a small thought about the big meals to come and what our main meal of the day was for this particular day in December.

Thanks for popping in!

December Daily 2013 #daytwo

We spent all day yesterday under a blizzard warning for our area. Strong winds, blowing snow and temperatures well below zero. The kids all went to school except the youngest so day two is all about that.
I had fun with this as I had some sparkly fluff on my work table from some Christmas cards I had made so I sealed it inside the page protector to look like snow :).

I embellished with a few TC sequins and a die cut along with some Momenta metal snowflakes.

Thanks for looking!

December Daily 2013 #DayOne

**If you're stopping by to see my SOUS post please scroll down or click the tab above**

Hello, today begins my 5th year of December Daily and another year of Journal Your Christmas.
I'm using JYC for photo and journal prompts which works great  for days that I may not have a story to tell about our day. The past few years I have used the SC December Daily kit but I decided not to purchase it this year since I have a massive supply of Christmas product on hand.
I'm using a 6x6 WRMK album and various Teresa Collins, October Afternoon, Studio Calico, AC, Maya Road and Bazzil product.

Here's Day One, the signs of the Christmas season now upon us, click on the image to make it larger:

Thanks for taking a look!

Everyday Life...

The majority of my scrapbooking layouts focus on day-to-day events in our lives. It's funny but when we have a big family event like Easter, Christmas or a birthday I forget to take photos.
If I'm being honest, I can get tired of trying to find a new way to scrapbook those yearly events, maybe I need to challenge myself on those layouts next year???

In the meantime, here are a couple of recent layouts:

Stuffie Time
{supplies: Teresa Collins Memories, Prima Say It In Crystals}

Mess Up Hair
{supplies: past SC kit, OA}

Bedtime Story

On a scrapbooking weekend I basically threw a bunch of unused kits in my bag along with photos and limited myself to only those scrappy items. It sure made me productive not having my entire scrappy room to waste time searching for the "perfect" paper, colour, etc.
I comleted 19 layouts!! I didn't photograph them because, quite frankly, I was too lazy ;) so I'll be sharing just a few of them here :)).

This layout was for this challenge over at Scrap Shotz:

{supplies a Studio Calico kit}

These papers just popped on the white, love how it turned out!

A Scrapbook Challenge...

The Creative Team at Scrap Shotz has posted our Summer Challenges , click on the link to see our challenges.

My challenge is to use a quote as the title or to journal your layout and you can find links back to quote websites here .

Here's the layout I created for this challenge:

The cardstock is good old reliable Bazzil; patterned paper is Teresa Collins Sports EditionII-yes I have hoarded this line and bought papers on clearance at my local scrapbook store, it has been my most favorite and used Sports papers-the manila colored paper is actually a 12x12 canvas paper in the line.
Die cuts are Creative Imaginations & Fancy Pants.

Would love to have many play along with our DT challenges, just click on the link above, prizes are available as well!!

Thanks for looking!

Teresa Collins Stationary Noted

I love pretty much everything Teresa Collins came out with for CHA winter. As soon as Stationary Noted hit the Scrap Shotz store it was in my shopping cart ;)) and I made this layout for the SSZ blog:

{supplies: patterned paper, chipboard, stickers Teresa Collins Stationary Noted}

The design is based on a Becky Fleck Page Map sketch and I cut the hearts with my Cameo.

Next I made this super easy card:

For this card I fussy cut the flowers from the patterned paper and also cut the Hello block from the paper as well so this card was done in mere minutes!

I'm looking forward to more projects with this fabulous line!

December Daily-Eighteen

Today was about a trip to Jack's school to see the multi-discipline project he and his classmates have been working on.
It's always nice to see what he's been up to at school and meet some of his friends.

Added some washi tape and an SC wood veneer accent, simple and done quickly!

December Daily-Twelve

At least one of use ends up sick during the month of December. Hopefully it will only be one person this year. We are determined to do our best to keep our family healthy for the holidays.

Day Twelve is about our sickie ;)

I've used some items from the Studio Calico DD kit, Teresa Collins washi tape and AC patterned paper-the red striped paper which is also glittered.

Thanks for looking!

Project Life Week 35 & 36

Hello!

Two more weeks in my Project Life project, I am thrilled to have kept up with it this far!

Week 35
We are settling in after camping and vacation. We have enjoyed phenomenal weather, nice and hot; Blake played his first Babe Ruth baseball league game this week and wrote and passed his Alberta Driver's Learner's License test. I used items for the core kit for this spread.

Week 36
The kids started the new school year this week and Blake received his government issued learner's license in the mail. I used items from the core kit and added a piece of Teresa Collins paper as well.
The 3 kids are in 3 different schools but so far it is not a big deal. They are happy and enjoying their schools :)
